AET dismisses reports of sales deal involving older VLCC

AET Tankers has dismissed widespread reports by brokers this week that it has sold another of its older VLCCs.

The Singapore-headquartered tanker subsidiary of Malaysia’s MISC Berhad was said to have sold the 300,000-dwt Bunga Kasturi Tiga (built 2006) to undisclosed Greek interests for $38m.

But an AET spokesman told Tradewinds on Tuesday that the vessel had not been sold.
