John Angelicoussis is in advanced negotiations to add to his VLCC fleet with an order at DSME.
The deal would be for three firm 318,000-dwt tankers at the shipyard, with which the Greek owner is known to have a close relationship, several market sources indicate.
A price in the region of $80m is being placed for each of the newbuildings for delivery at the end of 2018.
