Delta Tankers is set to end a two-year absence from the sale-and-purchase market and snap up a pair of suezmax resales, tanker marker sources say.
The Diamantis Diamantides-led owner is believed to have secured two former Blumenthal hulls under construction at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
While some believe a deal has yet to be completed, market sources tell TradeWinds the transaction would provide further evidence of a shift upwards in tanker asset values.
