Spot earnings for medium-range tankers will see their second day of drops as charterers back off from the market. The restart of Texas coastal refineries shut in the wake of Hurricane Harvey is easing fears of severe shortages of clean products in the Atlantic Basin.
The 46,900-dwt Torm Kansas (built 2006) was fixed by BP at World Scale 167.5, market sources say.
