Shipowners working at the sharp-end of Arctic business held their first formal meeting together over three years ago under the watchful eye of the Arctic Economic Council (AEC).
The AEC, which was originally convened by the Arctic Council as an independent business forum to facilitate and promote business activities in the region, organised the inaugural meeting of its Working Group on Maritime Transportation (MTWG) in 2014 when Canada was in the council’s chair.
