A fledgling German owner that has secured blue-chip backing is moving to acquire more vessels in the project sector.
Auerbach Schiffahrt is pushing forward its fleet development with the backing of shareholders including Cremer Group, as well as managerial support from former Bimco chairman Robert Lorenz-Meyer.
The Hamburg-based company, which was set up four years ago, is negotiating an order for two more multipurpose (MPP) vessels in the F-500 series at China’s Jiangzhou Union Shipbuilding.
