The ship was arrested on 28 March and had been at anchor off Gwangyang since then. TradeWinds understands it departed late on Monday.

Details of the tanker’s release are scarce but it appears unlikely that it occurred as part of any settlement between the parties. Sources indicate that Shagang management learned that the ship had escaped them only by midweek.
