Polish Steamship (Polsteam) is expected shortly to sell more panamax bulkers for demolition after disposing of the 73,000-dwt Legiony Polskie (built 1991) to India for $484 per ldt, or $6.5m, this week.
Szczecin-based Polsteam has sold four panamaxes for torching since May — all sisterships built at Denmark’s Burmeister & Wain shipyard — that have been trading grain and are popular among demolition buyers.
