Eagle Bulk Shipping has confirmed its exit from the handymax sector to leave it exclusively focused on supramaxes and ultramaxes.
The shipowner is also closing in on debt financing for a nine-ship deal with Greenship Bulk, its chief executive says.
Gary Vogel-led Eagle has sold the 48,000-dwt Sparrow (built 2000), its annual report said, confirming a deal reported by TradeWinds in mid-March.
